The Roman Empire from Augustus to the deposition of the last western emperor produced the bulk of Roman finds across Europe, North Africa and the Near East, including Britain from 43 CE. Samian ware, oil lamps, glass, brooches and imperial coinage are the common objects. The alias Romano-British covers Britain within the empire.
