Late Bronze Age
1200–800 BCE
The Late Bronze Age is the Urnfield period in central Europe and the age of the leaf-shaped sword, socketed axe and sheet-bronze vessel across Europe. Huge scrap hoards and votive deposits characterise it. It ends as iron working spreads.
