Old Kingdom

2700–2200 BCE

The Old Kingdom is the pyramid age, Dynasties 3 to 6, with Memphis as the capital and the Giza pyramids as its monuments. Tomb reliefs, statuary, stone vessels and reserve heads characterise it. Small objects on the market are mostly stone vessels and relief fragments.
