Dastilbe
Crato fish
Dastilbe crandalli is the small milkfish relative found in mass-mortality layers of the Crato Formation limestone of Brazil, the most common Santana fish in old collections. Brazil bans fossil export, so new material is illegal and old material is treated with suspicion by institutions. Stratum flags Brazilian provenance for the compliance gate.
