Achaemenid

The Achaemenid Persian empire under Cyrus, Darius and Xerxes ruled from the Aegean to the Indus, with Persepolis and Susa as its ceremonial capitals. Gold and silver vessels, sigloi and darics, seals and glazed brick are its material culture. It ended with Alexander.
