Late Intermediate Period

1000–1400 CE

The Late Intermediate Period is the era of regional kingdoms after Wari, notably Chimú with its capital at Chan Chan, Chancay, Lambayeque and the Aymara kingdoms of the altiplano. Chimú blackware and Chancay black-on-white are typical ceramics. It ends with Inca conquest.
