Phacops
Phacopid trilobite
Phacops is the Devonian trilobite genus with large schizochroal eyes whose name has been applied to most Moroccan and American phacopids in trade; the North American 'Phacops rana' is now Eldredgeops, and many Moroccan 'Phacops' are Austerops, Morocops or Adrisiops. Small enrolled Moroccan 'Phacops' are the cheapest genuine trilobites sold. Label to the current genus where you can and keep 'Phacops' as an alias.
