Encope
Keyhole sand dollar
Encope is the keyhole sand dollar of the Miocene–Pliocene of Florida and Panama and today's Pacific coast; fossil E. tamiamiensis and E. macrophora from the Tamiami Formation and Bone Valley are popular Florida fossils. Complete tests are fragile and often glued; check for filled slots and edges.
