Dakotaraptor steini

Dromaeosaur

Dakotaraptor is a large dromaeosaur named in 2015 from the Hell Creek Formation of South Dakota; its holotype turned out to include turtle bone, which shows how easily Hell Creek material is misassigned. Teeth sold as Dakotaraptor are large raptor teeth with recurved crowns and coarser posterior serrations; many are more safely labelled 'Dromaeosauridae indet.'.
