Hunsrück trilobite
Chotecops ferdinandi is the phacopid trilobite of the Hunsrück Slate at Bundenbach, preserved in pyrite on black roofing slate and sometimes with limbs visible in X-ray. Bundenbach Chotecops are prepared by sandblasting and are moderately priced; watch for pyrite decay. Older labels read Phacops ferdinandi.
