Asaphiscus wheeleri
Wheeler trilobite
Asaphiscus wheeleri is the larger, broader Wheeler Shale trilobite with a wide, smooth pygidium, reaching 6–7 cm and found with Elrathia at U-Dig and the Wheeler Amphitheater. Complete specimens are less common than Elrathia and are typically lighter in colour. It is genuine in nearly all cases but check for scribing around the outline.
