Sasanian

220–650 CE

The Sasanian empire was the last pre-Islamic Persian dynasty, with a rich material culture of silver drachms, silver-gilt plates, stamp seals, glass and stucco. Ctesiphon was its capital. It fell to the Arab conquest in the mid-seventh century.
