The Ptolemaic period is the Greek dynasty of Egypt from Alexander's successor Ptolemy I to Cleopatra VII, blending Egyptian and Hellenistic art. Coinage, terracotta figurines, faience and mummy cartonnage are common. Alexandria was the capital.
