Chinese Neolithic

7000–2000 BCE

The Chinese Neolithic includes the Yangshao painted-pottery and Longshan black-pottery cultures of the Yellow River, the Hongshan and Liangzhu jade cultures and many others. Painted jars, jade bi discs and cong tubes and eggshell black cups are the celebrated objects. It ends with the Bronze Age Erlitou culture.
