Lagerstätte
A deposit with exceptional fossil richness or preservation.
A deposit with exceptional fossil richness or preservation. A Konzentrat-Lagerstätte is exceptionally rich in numbers (a bone bed); a Konservat-Lagerstätte preserves exceptional detail or soft tissue (Solnhofen, Burgess Shale, Green River, Mazon Creek).
