Hafting element

The base of a point shaped to fit a shaft or handle: the notches, stem, basal ears and grinding.

The base of a point shaped to fit a shaft or handle: the notches, stem, basal ears and grinding. Typologies classify chiefly by the haft because it changed with fashion while the blade changed with resharpening.
