Object of cultural patrimony
In NAGPRA's terms, an object with ongoing historical, traditional or cultural importance central to a tribe that could not have been alienated by any individual — a wampum belt, a medicine bundle, a sacred mask.

Not the same as a country's “national patrimony” law, which vests all antiquities in the state.
