Crow shark

Squalicorax is the Late Cretaceous 'crow shark' whose triangular, finely serrated teeth resemble small tiger shark teeth; S. pristodontus from Morocco and New Jersey is the large form, S. kaupi and S. falcatus the smaller. It is the commonest serrated Cretaceous shark tooth and a good beginner's fossil. Moroccan examples are occasionally glued to phosphate matrix in decorative but unnatural arrangements.
