Olenoides
Spiny Cambrian trilobite
Olenoides is the spiny corynexochid of the Middle Cambrian, famous from the Burgess Shale for its preserved legs and antennae; O. nevadensis and O. superbus from the Wheeler and Marjum formations are the collectible species, with fringed pygidia and long pleural spines. Complete Utah Olenoides are uncommon and command several hundred dollars; Burgess Shale specimens are not for sale.
