Dicranurus monstrosus
Horned trilobite
Dicranurus monstrosus is the Moroccan odontopleurid with two great curled occipital horns and rows of pleural spines; the American species D. hamatus comes from Oklahoma's Haragan Formation. Moroccan Dicranurus are almost always partly restored, particularly the horns and genal spines. Compare the matrix colour around the horns with the rest of the block.
