Dalmanites
Silurian phacopid
Dalmanites is the Silurian dalmanitid with large crescent eyes and a tail ending in a spine, known from the Waldron Shale of Indiana, the Rochester Shale of New York and the Wenlock of England. D. limulurus from the Rochester Shale (Caleb's Quarry) is the collector's species. Complete specimens with the tail spine intact are worth more; check for a reattached pygidium.
