Castoroides
Giant beaver
Castoroides ohioensis is the bear-sized Pleistocene giant beaver of North America, whose incisors up to 15 cm long with ridged enamel are prized finds in Florida rivers, Ohio bogs and Midwestern gravels. Incisor fragments are the common item; skulls are rare. It is a favourite among Florida river collectors.
