Asaphellus
Asaphid trilobite
Asaphellus is the smooth, effaced asaphid trilobite that dominates the Early Ordovician Fezouata Formation near Zagora, found in dozens on single slabs of orange-weathering siltstone. Multi-trilobite Fezouata plates are affordable décor fossils; the specimens are natural moulds and are sometimes enhanced with paint or engraving to sharpen outlines.
