Aeger
Solnhofen shrimp
Aeger is the large Solnhofen shrimp, up to 15 cm, with long antennae and delicate legs preserved in the fine Plattenkalk. Complete Aeger with antennae are collector favourites and were classically 'improved' with pencil and paint, so examine every line under UV. Smaller Solnhofen shrimps such as Antrimpos are commoner and cheaper.
