Point type

A named form of projectile point defined by its haft, outline, flaking and size range, tied to a period and region by dated sites (Clovis, Dalton, St. Charles, Adena, Madison). The type name is an attribution with an authority — Justice, Overstreet, a state survey — and the record should say which.
